Loco Engr 1-10

Apparently you've never logged on to the BLE&T members area forum. All
the class 1 railroads are arseholes, in fact UP & BNSF seem to make CSX
look like pussies in the harrassment department. At least ever since
I've been working on the railroad NS has always been the one railroad
that was the harshest to work for, since CSX hired Tony Ingram off the
NS their trying to be just like their biggest competitor, then again NS
has seemed to thrive since getting rid of that moron.

I realy want to work at a Railroad. How can I get into it? I have a
chance to go to AMDG conductor training program for CSX. But, it'll
run about 4500 bucks. So far thats the only one that I can get into.
As of right now I'm a Murchant Mariner working on the Great Lakes. It
gets to me out there, being gone 3, 4, 5, months or more at a time.
Sure the money is GREAT but, I always wantted to work for the RR.
Please let me know how I can get into one of these RR. THANKS.

CSX SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! Get out why you can. If you want to keep working on
the railroad, choose another class I , CSX is still rated the worst.
There are too many good companies you can work for without being
harassed for following the rules. After paying for your insurance,
paying the highest union dues with poor representation, derail
insurance, and watching the company steal your money from check to
check, you really can do just as well without the railroad. One man
train crews are coming, so start making a plan if you have low
seniority. It's all about money and big business, CSX doesn't care
one bit about any of us.

Dear FlatHead Frank,

I'll tell you where this,"half brain", is. I left for a real job
that pays over 2x's what CSX was paying me. My stress level went to
zero over night and I started enjoying my work again. CSX SUCKS. There
are way to many good companys to work for. Why stay stuck in a shit
hole like CSX when there are good jobs available. You sound like a
little bitch that didn't have the mentailty to do better, so you stuck
it out and thought you had the best. In reality you were working for a
shit company, but never knew it, because dad got you on out of high
school.

To the reply about the emails....

Not to defend Charles Bailey or for that matter CSX

But...I highly doubt that As Director of Row Construction, He would
spend his time sending emails like that around. I know from being an IT
major, that there are viruses in emails that will collect an address
book from the party involved and send the emails on its own....without
the party knowing. I dont know if he did or didnt... but that is a
harsh accusation to get him fired.

I have to live with knowing that I WILL WORK Thanksgiving,Christmas and
NewYears.

keep your dues paid up.

I would like this email to be read by Mr. Michael Ward, CEO of CSX.
Does he know that one of his employees, Mr. Charles Bailey, is sending
emails around the country, telling people that Microsoft is going to
pay them $245 for each email they forward? I received one yesterday,
12/06/05. Now we know what the operations managers do at CSX. This
company can hardly afford to have an operations manager who spends
company time sending frivolous, ficticious emails around the country.
Instead of doing more productive things, Mr. Bailey has proudly chosen
to represent CSX in his email jollies. This man should be
terminated immediately. As a shareholder of CSX stock, I find this
unacceptable!!!

TO THE CIVIL ENGINEER:

I SAY GO FOR IT. YOU HAVE TO REALIZE THOUGH THAT THE RAIL ROAD IS A 24
HOUR SEVEN DAY A WEEK OPERATION. SO IF YOU DON'T LIKE TO WORK LONG
HOURS OR HOLIDAYS, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. IF YOU TAKE PRIDE IN WHAT YOU
DO AND LIKE TO WORK HARD, HOP ON BOARD. DO NOT LISTEN TO ALL THESE
COMPLAINERS. THESE GUYS GET TOP PAY AND STILL PISS AND MOAN ABOUT EVERY
LITTLE THING. MOST OF THEM ARE LUCKY TO HAVE JOBS. I OFTEN WONDER WHERE
SOME OF THESE HALF BRAINS WOULD BE IF THEY DIDN'T HAVE A GREAT JOB
LIKE THIS. THE GUYS ON THIS WEBSITE ARE JUST A HANDFUL OF RIFF RAFF
THAT NEED SOMETHING TO BITCH ABOUT. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR JOB SEARCH.

Hey guys,

Been reading your posts on the site and CSX seems like a shitty place
to work. I have an interview on Tuesday at the Jax. headquarters and
the more I read here the more it seems like I'm wasting my time.

Im a civil engineer going for Asst. Roadmaster position, do these
positions really carry the same problems I'm reading about here with
getting NO time off and pretty much being CSX's bitch?

Any advise is appreciated.

Thanks.

To the person who wants a CSX job in Nashville. Everything depends on
your location, I know someone who works Nashville he's been there
about 5 years, and makes some good money working the yard with
overtime. Your first few years on the RR might mean lay-offs are you
willing to go through that? How much you make it depends on how much
you want to work? You can work all the time, especially in road
service. Extra boards mean you'll work every 8 hours with one day off
a week. It's a difficult life, it's tiring sometimes you go without
sleep for 24-36 hours, only to be called back to work on your rest. We
all bitch, but it's still a good living if you apply yourself.

Regarding Goober 11-7 post: Since you've got it figured out ,how to do
more for less , why don't you supplement your RRB check with a
consultants fee from scabs like Rick Corman and Hulcher& Newberry. They
probably have a spot for a dedicated suck ass/yes man.

OH MY TINY

The Knuckle in the wilderness is not a problem at all. THINK about this
a little. No one hauls a knuckle 10 miles, hell they can not do it. They
use the power to pull the train to the knuckle.

Just takes a very small light aluminum foldable trailer, and a 50cc
motor(MOPED size) and they come and fix ya.

Turn the angle and use your power to pull to the knuckle, would work
really fine.

GOOFY
